How to take care of your lashes

Lashes are a fantastic way to enhance your eyes and elevate your overall look. However, to get the most out of your lashes and ensure they remain in good condition for multiple uses, it's essential to care for them properly. In this blog post, we'll guide you step by step on how to wash and maintain your false strip lashes after every use. By following these simple steps, you'll extend the life of your lashes and keep them looking fresh and beautiful.

  • Step 1: Removing Lashes
Gently remove the lashes  by carefully removing them from your eyelids. Use your fingers to gently peel the strip off from the outer corner towards the inner corner. Avoid pulling on the lashes themselves, as this can cause them to lose their shape or shed.

  • Step 2: Remove Excess Adhesive
Once the lashes are removed, you’ll notice some leftover adhesive on the lash band. To remove this, use a pair of tweezers to gently pick off the glue. Be cautious not to tug too hard, as you could damage the lash band or pull out lash fibers.

  • Step 3: Prepare a Cleaning Solution
In a small bowl, mix a gentle, oil-free makeup remover with water. Alternatively, you can use micellar water, which is effective and gentle on the lashes. Avoid using any oil-based products, as they can break down the lash adhesive and compromise the integrity of the lashes.

  • Step 4: Soak the Lashes
Place your false lashes in the bowl with the cleaning solution. Let them soak for about 5-10 minutes. This helps to loosen any remaining makeup and adhesive.

  • Step 5: Clean the Lashes
After soaking, take a clean cotton swab or a soft makeup brush and gently stroke the lashes to remove any residual makeup and adhesive. Be sure to support the lash band with your fingers to avoid pulling on the fibers. Repeat this process until the lashes are clean.

  • Step 6: Rinse and Dry
Rinse the lashes with lukewarm water to remove any remaining cleaning solution. Gently shake off excess water and place the lashes on a clean, dry towel. Use another clean towel to pat them dry carefully. Avoid rubbing the lashes, as this can cause them to lose their shape.

  • Step 7: Reshape and Store
Once your lashes are dry, reshape them by gently curling them back into their original shape. Store them in their original packaging or a dedicated lash case to maintain their curve and protect them from dust and damage.

Caring for your lashes doesn’t have to be a chore. With these simple steps, you can keep your lashes looking their best and extend their lifespan. Proper maintenance not only ensures that your lashes remain hygienic but also helps you achieve a flawless look every time you wear them. Happy lashing!
